CACAO HUSK TEA
Full disclosure, we did not invent cacao husk tea… it’s an infusion that has been drunk for ages! For ancient Mayan civilization, cacao tea was a part of spiritual ceremonies. No wonder why... it’s a smooth and exhilarating drink packed with vitamins and minerals. It was literally food for gods, that’s real super-food.
Cacao husk tea is a natural tonic infusion made from the husks of roasted cacao beans. It’s a unique brewed drink that sits somewhere in between dark chocolate and tea. Cacao tea can be a really nice alternative to coffee: it helps with focus and concentration without the overpowering effect of caffeine.
All of our teas are made from the very same cacao we use to craft chocolate. It’s the super good stuff: Organic, high-quality cacao ethically sourced from Ecuador. Everything we do is handmade from the cacao beans to the packing by our incredible team in our Montreal (really) tiny chocolate factory.

HOW TO BREW
Don’t worry, it’s easy to prepare a good cuppa’ cacao tea. Pour one cup of hot water over 2 teaspoons of cacao tea and wait 5 minutes. That’s it. We recommend the use of a tea infuser or a tea ball to filter out the loose cacao.
We highly recommend you make it your own. Add milk, sugar, maple syrup or honey. Or just get the pure version and mix it with dried fruits, spices, cinnamon sticks or hibiscus flowers! Be wild. What’s our favourite? Chai tea mixed with a drop of maple syrup and a cloud of oat milk.
MEASURE
2 teaspoons of cacao husk for a cup of water.
INFUSE
Five minutes infusion in hot water.
ENJOY
Try it with milk, honey or maple syrup!
